‘Fall Into Life’ is the new single from Waxflight, and is taken from their upcoming album, ‘Flowers’, which is set for release on January 29, 2021 through Cornelius Chapel Records.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u00a0Languorously soporific, and stretched out like a happy day in the sunniest of summer weather, ‘Fall Into Life’ is one of those songs that takes you on a trip whose destination you’ve no idea about, but you feel so good that you don’t really care. You’re just going along to see how long you can last and where you end up.<\/p>\n

The track is the lead single from ‘Flowers’, and like that for which it’s named, the album offers many meanings: flowers are used to brighten a room, or their presence signals grief; they can bloom beautifully, wild and free, or tended to within an inch of their lives, under the watchful eye of a careful horticulturalist. They have their own meanings, their own language – their colours and varieties carrying with them a code for love, loss, celebration, pain, joy, sadness.<\/p>\n

‘Fall Into Life’ is a bit like all that as well. Like the other songs on the album, it was written this year, this time of uncertainty, and its light and shade came together virtually, rather than in a studio, with everyone in the same room. The light and airy vocals transport us back to a different, simpler time, and the video that goes with it helps this idea as well, made up of old (presumably) family films, tinted with age. The now makes its presence felt in the form of an added layer of flowers, reverse silhouetted over the footage.<\/p>\n

Comprising Craig Ceravolo, who writes and sings, while also playing a variety of instruments, along with Les Nuby, who has arranged the tracks, Waxflight are also joined on the album by Jonathan Hyatt and Daniel Farris, both from the Black Pill, and Joey Rudisell, of Esker, all of whom add rhythm and extra flourishes.<\/p>\n
