Anna Calvi<\/strong>, Duran Duran <\/strong>and\u00a0Yungblud are among the latest artists to be added to the stellar bill of a live streaming show celebrating the life and career of <\/strong>David Bowie.<\/h4>\r\n

Hosted and produced by the Starman’s longest serving band member Mike Garson,<\/strong>\u00a0Just For One Day<\/em><\/strong> will also mark five years since Bowie’s passing aged 69 in January 2016.<\/h4>\r\nThe show features a diverse collection of artists from music and film, befitting Bowie’s constantly evolving style and eye for the zeitgeist.\r\n\r\nContempories and collaborators, such as\u00a0Ian Hunter\u00a0<\/strong>of\u00a0Mott The Hoople<\/strong>,\u00a0Peter Frampton<\/strong> and\u00a0Rick Wakeman<\/strong> will rub shoulders with the likes of Trent Reznor<\/strong>,\u00a0The Cult<\/strong>‘s Ian Astbury<\/strong> and Billy Corgan\u00a0<\/strong> of\u00a0Smashing Pumpkins<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nStarting at 6pm PT \/0200 GMT on what would have been Bowie’s birthday on January 8, 2021, the three-hour concert will be available to ticketholders live and for 24 hours after its initial stream.\r\n\r\nSinger\u00a0Adam<\/strong> Lambert <\/strong>will be performing, along with actor\/musician Michael C. Hall <\/strong> of Dexter <\/strong><\/em>fame.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nGuitarist Earl Slick<\/span> <\/strong>and longtime producer and friend Tony Visconti<\/span>\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/strong>are among a host of former band members helping to make up the backing band.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nMusicians will be drawn from career spaning line-ups from Bowie’s 1969 self-titled album through to his final album, Blackstar<\/em><\/strong>.\r\n\r\nOscar-winning actor Gary Oldman<\/strong> is scheduled to appear and there will be musical contributions from Grammy-winner Macy Gray <\/strong>and Jane’s Addiction\u00a0<\/strong>frontman\u00a0Perry Farrell<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nThe show will broadcast live on RollingLiveStudios.com<\/strong> via Lucra<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, a new streaming platform built by Streamlabs<\/a><\/span>.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nPromoters\u00a0A Bowie Celebration <\/strong>will donate $2 (US) from every ticket sold to\u00a0Save The Children <\/strong>– a charity chosen by Bowie as the beneficiary from his 50th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden in 1997.\r\n
