St Louis father of two, Gregory Bowdry, performs as Stringz EMB. We wrote about him back in July<\/a>, and now he returns with ‘Perfect’, a musical masterpiece of fast words and soulful music.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Stringz EMB opens up his heart and shares everything that’s going on around him in 2020; it’s a catalogue of the world as he sees it. From the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, to the “perfect” perception people might have when they look at him, unaware that he’s going through the same challenges and obstacles as the rest of us.<\/p>\n

The music of ‘Perfect’ is, in fact, the *perfect* match for the message that Stringz EMB is putting across: a very important, quite likely frustrated, message. The artist shares about depression, and anger, and his unhappy relationship with his brother; he reminds us that we need to stay humble, no matter how successful we become; and most of all, the importance of having a close friend in whom to confide, and to unload your burdens.<\/p>\n

The music video for ‘Perfect’, shot and edited during quarantine, was entirely animated. The artist has been hoping since the start of his musical career to try this approach, and so he made a connection with video producer, Recokh, on Instagram, who created the visual. Opening with a cartoon character Stringz, we see him staring out his window, and watching the news about the pandemic. From time to time he is talking to a featureless person, who glows blue. Later we find it’s another version of him. At the end, we see the animated versions of Stringz, his wife, and his children, the kids climbing over him as he tries to work, and then the entire family trying to get a pic, along with their dog. It’s fun, and a reminder that we need to keep close to the most important people in our lives.<\/p>\n
