‘7 Years’ tells the true and very personal story of how Iris was introduced to the music industry by someone she was dating, before she ever knew she would become a part of it. The track follows her journey to enlightenment, which came after a long period of lying to herself about her musical ambitions, and once she decided to follow her dreams, it was a simple – and quick – process of getting her lyrics onto paper.
