Vocalist, songwriter and guitarist, Brandt Leeds, performing as Fani Pacc, has released his new single, ‘Some Humans’. The track comes from his upcoming mini-LP, ‘Accidental Kismet’, set to come out in early 2021.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Brandt grew up in Arkansas with dreams of becoming a filmmaker and actor, and picked up a guitar as a hobby. This hobby grew to be a priority after university when he moved to Portland, and started experimenting with a loop pedal and playing open mic nights. Gaining confidence in his voice and playing, he started looking for a performance name, but nothing ever seemed to work.<\/p>\n

Then, in 2016, he was invited by a friend to attend a Dead & Company show. While taking in the gorgeous views of The Gorge, in George, Washington (we challenge you to say that sentence three times quickly!), his eye was caught by his fanny pack, of all things – and thus his pseudonym was born.<\/p>\n

Now based in Los Angeles, via San Francisco, Fani Pacc has spent time gigging, and writing music. His new single, ‘Some Humans’, is laconic and contemplative, with his lyric style taking on the form of a documentary, just him, his guitar, and some percussive elements keeping the rhythm and tying it all in together. He sings of how people are different, and yet there’s similarities between us all – “some humans worry over nothing – I used to be one”. It’s somewhat humorous, and yet at the same time reflective, causing the listener to consider the reality of who we are, and why we’re here:<\/p>\n

“We’re just on a big ass rock in the middle of space, revolving around a huge ball of gas. And that’s it.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Somewhat sobering, when it’s put that way, isn’t it?<\/p>\n
