A new band is here to invade your playlists and record players \u2013 aliensdontringdoorbells. Consisting of Dorian Foyil (Guitar, Sax and Lead Vocals), Adam King (Lead and Backing Vocals) and Christian Pearl (Keyboards and Backing Vocals) this band have released their debut album \u2018Arrival\u2019.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Enlisting Jeff Kanan who engineered Michael Jackson\u2019s \u2018Thriller\u2019 album to record and produce the album, aliensdontringdoorbells nestled down in The Keep Studios in Denver, Colorado and set to work.<\/p>\n

Kicking things off with \u2018Slipping Away\u2019, the track is about a girl who gets dressed up to go out so you think you are gonna lose her. However, what is really clever about this song (in addition to the slick production and first class musicianship as the \u201cgirl\u201d could be someone\u2019s wife, girlfriend or partner\u00a0 or she could be someone\u2019s daughter who is watching her grow up and he feels like he is going to lose her to the party lifestyle for example. A well-written song that really makes the listener think.<\/p>\n

The emotional rollercoaster \u2018Story\u2019 touches on themes of a protective nature of a parent\/child relationship bundled together with sheer honesty. The heartfelt delivery and pleasant-sounding acoustic guitar gives the song the opportunity to flourish.<\/p>\n

The lively \u2018The Heart Is In Her Eyes\u2019 has a warm familiar feeling with the arrangement sounding at times like Billy Ocean\u2019s \u2018Love Really Hurts Without You\u2019. A future live favourite perhaps?<\/p>\n

\u2018Blind To See\u2019 sounds like a Daft Punk and Take That collaboration and is a funk soaked offering and \u2018Missing Pieces\u2019 has beautiful flurries of piano that swirl throughout.<\/p>\n

In summary, \u2018Arrival\u2019 has allowed aliensdontringdoorbells to experiment musically with blues, rock, funk, pop and even hip-hop to create something for everyone to enjoy whilst keeping their own stamp of originality.<\/p>\n
