We’ve last heard from Like Machines last year, with their single, ‘Destitute<\/a>‘, which centred around the age-old struggle of the haves and have nots. Now they’re back, with latest single, ‘Take It Away’, which features an animated music video set in space.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Already a name on the Spotify Hard Rock and Southern Comfort playlists, Like Machines have made their presence known on the grunge and melodic scene.<\/p>\n

The song is filled with hardcore raw emotion, while the video clip, with its glitchy feel and Major Tom vibes, as the spaceman floats through space, passing by lyrics and space junk as he goes. It’s a very clever video, with bright neon colours sitting side by side with galaxy print backgrounds. Eventually the spaceman finds his way to a UFO, and the space junk is no longer disused satellites etc, but now it’s shopping trolleys, knives, swords, skyscrapers, and even the Leaning Tower of Pisa.<\/p>\n

Speaking about making the music video, Andrew Evans of Like Machines says,<\/p>\n

“Creating the ‘Take It Away’ video was a very new and interesting process for us. It didn\u2019t feel right to get together with a big video crew to shoot something during this pandemic, so it really pushed us to make the most out of what we could, given the current state of the world. We think because it was such a different process, it yielded a very cool and different result.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
