Politically charged yet at the same time soothing and pleasant, ‘My People’ conveys a sense of community in his lyrics while shining a light on the hardships and oppression faced by the world today, in particular, in Africa – caused largely by politics. Through the power of song, and, consequently, the power of dance, he causes us to think about the issues at hand, while at the same time encouraging us to have a good time. ‘My People’ (Mood Swing Riddim)’ is upbeat and fun, with an overwhelming Reggae rhythm that will soften even the hardest heart and get them – if not up and dancing – at least swaying in their seat.<\/p>\n
Rabill Armani sounds like he’s been making music forever, but the young artist only started getting serious with his music during high school, where in second year in 2016, he recorded his first ever song, ‘Mantadasu’. Taking inspiration from the likes of Vybz Kartel, and Wizkid, 2019’s ‘Soma Me’ was his first official release, and he performed it live on stage with Samini for Samini Festival last year.<\/p>\n
Rabill Armani is certainly one to watch and with songs like ‘My People’ and ‘Soma Me’ he is certainly making his mark on the world.<\/p>\n
