Ginny Luke is a powerful vocalist, violinist, and bandleader, who has performed to millions of people around the world, sharing the stage with the likes of artists such as Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters, Snoop Dogg, Dave Matthews Band, and Stevie Wonder. She was lead vocalist and electric violinist on the 4UPrince Tour, directed by ?uestlove, and the Dr. Dre Orchestral Tour. At the tender age of 19, Ginny was already touring – and recording – with Meat Loaf’s band, The Neverland Express. Talent is seeping out of her pores, and her new single, ‘Love Hypocrisy’, sees her pull other amazing talents into her orbit, as she’s backed up by Thai Long Ly (Dionne Warwick), Lucas Sader (John Legend, Will Smith), Grammy Award-winner Ruslan Sirota on piano, jazz phenom Hadrien Feraud on bass, and prolific producer\/co-writer Jon Prince on synth, drums, and programming.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In Ginny Luke’s hands the violin becomes a daring and bold statement piece, and with ‘Love Hypocrisy’ she unleashes an urgency and power as she reclaims her sexuality on her own terms. Ginny’s lightning flash electric violin solo and her oh so sultry vocals, are combined on ‘Love Hypocrisy’ with the mesmerising rock guitars, and Moog synth bass. The production gives it a creepy – yet sexy – alt pop feel, while at the same time it elicits rock undertones.<\/p>\n

Directed by Harrison Sanborn, who also shot Ginny’s videos for ‘Timebomb Tactics’, ‘Warning Shot’, and ‘Take You On A Trip’, the clip for ‘Love Hypocrisy’ is no less sexy than the song, with an illicit romance in the air. A motorcycle speeds through a stark white desert, before giving way to dimly lit rooms, where lovers hide. The focus is on the doomed affair between Marilyn Monroe (played by Ginny) and John F Kennedy, and with the film noir approach the danger and desire is amply able to mirror the thrill and speed of the motorbike. Colours play a major role as she plays her violin, first drenched in white paint, which soon turns to jet black. Later the violin bursts into flame and burns like a phoenix, rising again. The clip closes on Ginny Luke playing a scorching violin solo in the bleached out desert.<\/p>\n
