Can you believe it’s already been seven years since Nicky Romero dazzled the world with, ‘Like Home’, his collaboration with Nervo, and his multi-platinum smash with Avicii, ‘I Could Be The One’? Even harder to believe is that ‘Toulouse’, the track that made him a leading light of Europe’s EDM scene, was first hot in the clubs 8 years ago!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

He’s kept up the pace, releasing hit after hit after hit, and even this year, with all its vexations, he’s been able to match his previous energy and optimism, with new single, Destiny’, on which he’s collaborated with Turkish-German DJ and producer, Deniz Koyu. They’ve worked before, on the incredible ‘Paradise’ back in 2018, and ‘Destiny’ is certainly cut from the same cloth. This time they also worked with internationally lauded Swedish singer-songwriter Alexander Tidebrink, who is sure to get dancefloors spinning with his yearning vocal, which adds even more emotion to the already deeply charged ‘Destiny’.<\/p>\n

Tidebrink’s speciality is club anthems, and his 2018 collab with producer Alle Farben, ‘Only Thing We Know’, stayed on the top spot of the German airplay charts for a whopping five weeks.<\/p>\n

Nicky Romero’s music videos are often more like mini-movies, and ‘Destiny’ is no different. Directed by Paul Gerwien, it tells a pure love story, albeit one with dangerous undercurrents. There’s plenty of chiaroscuro – play of light and dark – and the dreamlike feel of some of the footage, along with the slow-motion sequences, as well as a mysterious group of villains, are enough to show how much danger the characters are in. Will the be able to rise above the perils they face? Or is that their Destiny?<\/p>\n
