‘My Baby’, by Gekeska Johnson, set for release on 23 June, had its genesis when the singer couldn’t get a beat and lyric out of her head. She was singing the song non-stop around her apartment, and consequently, ‘My Baby’ found its way to the studio.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A love song, the track takes its inspiration from the sound of Whitney Houston, and Anita Baker, with its definite 90s vibe, and Gesheka’s sultry vocals over top of a slow jam instrumental.<\/p>\n

A songwriter since her childhood, Gekesha Johnson returned to music six months ago, following a hiatus due to a fear of rejection. She released ‘Goodbye<\/a>‘, in which she re-discovered her sound, and with ‘My Baby’ is able to fully showcase her extensive vocal talent. The single is available to stream and download on all major digital media providers.<\/p>\n
