We’ve recently spokenrecently spoken<\/a> about the melancholy element that characterises the music of a lot of Irish artists – and Dublin duo JamLive certainly fit the bill in this aspect, with their new single, ‘Stay’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Comprising J (vocals) and Jacob (drums), the pair first met in secondary school, and after some time apart due to schooling, joined together to share their creative vision. Their acoustic\/alt pop rock sound draws much from their influences which include Radiohead and fellow Dubliners, U2.<\/p>\n

J’s breathy vocals sit perfectly with the acoustic guitar and gentle percussion of the song, and the storytelling lyrics tell the tale of a couple’s fight and eventual reconciliation.<\/p>\n

The clip is essentially a Dublin travelogue, taking in places many of us will be familiar with if we’ve visited the Fair City. JamLive set their drums up on Sandymount Strand, with Poolbeg Stacks resplendent in the background, the wind visibly chilling the pair.<\/p>\n

Although most of the action between the fighting couple takes place in a house party, there’s also scenes on the top deck of a Dublin Bus, and they find their way to Sandymount as well, before parting ways.<\/p>\n

All is well that ends well however, and they reconcile, but not without the listener having first been pulled through every single emotion possible.<\/p>\n
