Kris James teases us with some snippets from forthcoming single, \u2018Naive\u2019. Something to look forward to after lockdown!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Kris James has taken the Lady Gaga tactic – proving that good things come to those who wait, and delaying the release of his new music until later on in the process of this pandemic. Whilst it\u2019s unclear when the full track will be released, the snippets we\u2019ve heard so far have been nothing short of fabulous!<\/p>\n

\u2018Naive\u2019 begins with a laidback, summery guitar melody which instantly calls to mind rooftop gardens and cocktails in the sunshine. The chorus is exuberant and full of energy, with a crowd joining in the celebration of self-reliance and acceptance, accompanied by a carnival-inspired brass section.<\/p>\n

\u2018Naive\u2019 is a song which details the ups and downs of Kris\u2019 journey to get to this point. His is a backwards journey from pop stardom towards authenticity as the singer of his own songs.<\/p>\n

Co-written by Kris James alongside Stewart Boyle, the track was written in James\u2019 hometown of Liverpool and recorded in London. Maturing in both his lyrical and musical style, the track acts as a marker for the next chapter not only in Kris\u2019 music, but Kris as a person. It sees him being truly analytic and perceptive in his observations of his past, turning these observations into a catchy pop song, sure, but one with added depth.<\/p>\n

Due later this year, Kris James\u2019 debut full-length – ‘The Highs and Lows of Love and Life’ – is set to be loaded with real stories from Kris\u2019 life, crafted into songs that never lose their ease on the ear, whilst maintaining his trademark lyrical depth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want it to be a definitive statement; to be the best it can be,\u201d says James. ‘The Highs and Lows of Love and Life’ is that, and a whole lot more.<\/p>\n
