In the clever clip for her latest song, ‘Maybe’, electronic pop singer Tina Tara provides the ultimate solution to any loneliness we might be experiencing during the current Lockdown for COVID-19.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Tina has boyfriends made to order and shipped to her apartment: they cook, they clean, they satisfy all her physical needs and fantasies – and she never has to leave home. It’s satire of course – or is it?<\/p>\n

Tina Tara divides her time between London and Los Angeles, and her style is a blend of sleek Cali glamour, crossed with a somewhat spikey London attitude. ‘Maybe’ is the follow-up to her previous singles released last year – ‘Arriba’, which was a Latin-pop fusion track, and ‘Worth It’, with its effortlessly sexy sound. Her co-writer for both tracks was Anthony Goldsbrough, a multi-instrumentalist who’s worked with the likes of Bastille, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, and Olly Murs. Goldsbrough also produces ‘Maybe’.<\/p>\n

‘Maybe’ is the perfect showcase for Tina Tara’s vocal talent, as well as her playful – and somewhat naughty – personality. Originally released on Valentine’s Day, it’s achieved even more relevance now as we all learn to live in isolation from one another.<\/p>\n

Just like her previous clips, Tina shows she’s a natural in front of the camera for ‘Maybe’, and she presents herself as funny, self-aware, and downright compelling. She is all girl, and completely in command. Her robot boyfriend – or rather a series of boyfriends – cooks, cleans, trains, and looks after her in the bedroom. When he malfunctions, or otherwise is worn out (!) Tina is straight online ordering a new, and possibly upgraded model. Is it a poke at consumerist culture? or is it rather in anticipation of what may yet lay ahead of us?<\/p>\n
