Platinum selling\u00a0electro\u00a0pop\u00a0powerhouse\u00a0Kiesza releases\u00a0incredible\u00a0global music video project entitled \u2018Storm\u2019. Written in isolation, \u2018Storm\u2019 compelled award-winning directors\u00a0Rocky Romano\u00a0and Miranda Winters to reach out to Kiesza to work with her to create a powerful short film to help frontline workers\u00a0amid the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Premiered on YouTube, the video will also be projected on\u00a0Flannels building in Oxford Street at 9pm, following\u00a0recent\u00a0projections\u00a0of\u00a0work by\u00a0David Bailey and\u00a0Turner\u00a0Prize\u00a0nominee Ian Davenport.\u200b<\/p>\n

\u2018Storm\u2019 has also been\u00a0released across\u00a0all digital streaming platforms today.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n

Creating an aerial view of the\u00a0world\u00a0in lockdown, over 100 filmmakers donated footage from 27 countries, including drone footage of Kiesza on the empty shores of Toronto.\u00a0Other countries featured in the music video include\u00a0Australia, Brazil, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, United Kingdom and more.<\/p>\n

The short film, produced by Winters Rock Entertainment, will serve as a call to action for fans\u2013 encouraging them to donate to Front\u200bline Care,\u00a0dedicated to providing rest and care units for frontline workers\u00a0in the fight against COVID-19, via their donation site\u00a0TeamStorm.org<\/a>. Frontline Care is a fiscally sponsored project by 501(c)(3) Paint The World. Kiesza will lead the initiative titled #TeamStorm that will drive fans to\u00a0TeamStorm.org<\/a>\u00a0where they can donate to build JUPE REST units for frontline workers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wrote ‘Storm’\u00a0late one night, while in lockdown, and posted it on my Instagram account the next day. From there everything snowballed, and I joined forces with Winters Rock Entertainment and Pond5 to create this incredible aerial video of the world during Covid-19. said Kiesza. \u201cIt has been so inspiring to me, to feel the unity that this pandemic has created. Covid-19 knows no borders, and as result, it has brought us together as a world. And at the very least, everyone who made an effort to slow down the spread of the virus, can walk out of this knowing that they saved a life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Frontline Initiative will implement healthcare worker rest units built by Jupe Health.\u00a0Jupe Health works with hospitals, non-profits and rural health communities to provide rest and care units in the fight against COVID-19. Their rest units are created by rocket and electric vehicle engineers, designed and furnished by America\u2019s greatest designers, and wrapped with artwork by some of the worlds\u2019 top graphic artists via\u00a0\u200bAmplifier.org.\u00a0Kiesza worked remotely with musician\/producer Chris Malinchak to complete the final version of the song.<\/p>\n
