Vina Rose is set to release her brand-new EP ‘Crossroads’, which will be coming out on the 24th of April.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Vina Rose is one of Italy’s most recognisable stars on Italian television, singer; actress and performer. Back in 2017, the multi-talented entertainer permanently re-located to London in order to further her career. We got in touch with Vina to talk about her new EP! Here’s what she had to say:<\/p>\n

Hi Vina! Why don’t you start by telling us a little bit about the new EP you have coming out? What is it all about and what inspired you to make it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hi! ‘Crossroads’ is a small taste of what I\u2019ve been working on in the last few years, during which my life has taken a completely new direction: it\u2019s about having the bravery to express who I really am without denying fears or limitations.<\/p>\n

The EP reflects on the significant decision I made to relocate permanently to London in 2017, leaving behind a successful career in Italian media to perfect my craft in the UK.<\/p>\n

You released your incredible single “Breathe Again” just last year. How would you describe your sound to first-time listeners? What would you want them to take away after the first listen?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My music is a mix of pop\/soul, soft rock with a cinematic feel (soundtrack type of vibe): I really like to play with sounds, having spent several years in the studio writing, experimenting and digging into my artistic identity, gave me the opportunity to create a sound that is very unique, authentic and perhaps hard to categorize and I hope people are going to love it as much as I do.<\/p>\n

For first time listeners, my music is bold, honest and very passionate.<\/p>\n

You clearly have a natural talent when it comes to music. What made you want to pursue a career as a singer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thank you! I always knew I wanted to be a singer since I was a little girl, I remember performing in front of people at a really young age, I always felt very comfortable on stage, cause I\u2019ve been doing that for most of my life, and I guess that feeling made me realize that a career in the music business was meant to be for me.<\/p>\n

Also, growing up within a family of musicians gave me the platform and the unstoppable support I needed to pursue my dream.<\/p>\n

What’s the best and worst advice you have ever received in your career so far? What advice would you give to an aspiring singer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The best advice I have received has been to be patient, \u2018cause \u201cRome wasn\u2019t built in a day\u201d, was it? I am an Aries, I\u2019m a very impatient soul by nature, so I needed to practice that, especially dealing with this business, where you have to knock on so many doors before you can actually see one opening in front of you:)<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also a perfectionist, fussy and very meticulous in everything I do, so the worst advice I have received has been to lower my standards when I work with people, \u2018cause I was told that not everybody has the same level of professionalism as me, but I think that there isn\u2019t any harm in me demanding quality over quantity, is it?<\/p>\n

For aspiring singers, I would say, just work on your craft, don\u2019t follow what\u2019s trendy, but listen to your hearts when you write songs, don\u2019t be afraid to make mistakes and don\u2019t compare yourselves to any other people\u2019s journey or career as everyone is different.<\/p>\n

Who in the music industry inspires you the most? And is there anyone, in particular, you would want to collaborate with?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have so much respect and value for artists like Coldplay, Joni Mitchell, Lauryn Hill, and the list could go on and on…<\/p>\n

But I am a colossal fan of Michael Jackson, he\u2019s such an icon for me, I love his artistry, his energy, his uniqueness and the ability he had to captivate audiences all around the world.<\/p>\n

I am also a big fan of Sia, she is an incredible songwriter and performer and I\u2019d love to collaborate with her one day.<\/p>\n

(P:S: Sia, if you are reading this, I love you and I\u2019m ready when you are\u2026LOL)<\/p>\n

What do you enjoy most about being a musician?<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a musician, I have the opportunity to write songs and communicate my emotions and feelings to so many people (even the deepest one that sometimes is the most difficult to express in real life), that\u2019s where my sensitivity lies, and I get to work and connect with unbelievable and talented individuals from all around the world.<\/p>\n

That is what I enjoy the most.<\/p>\n

If you could perform anywhere, what would be your dream venue and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh wow, that\u2019s a difficult question \u2018cause I would say \u201cMadison Square Garden\u201d or the \u201c02 Arena\u201d, but my dream venue would be the Royal Albert Hall in London, I still remember Adele live performance recorded back in 2011, and I imagined myself to be able to perform there one day with a big orchestra, \u2018cause I really love the theatre magic and atmosphere as I\u2019ve been fortunate enough to sing in theatres during my career, so that would be a dream coming true.<\/p>\n

What are your goals for the future? Can you tell us any plans that you might have?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would love to go on tour, I\u2019m planning to do that eventually, as soon as the COVID-19 situation will be over, \u2018cause I really miss singing on stage and connect with fans.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also planning to release more music and I hope to become the best selling artist in the future and to win a Grammy for my music, or an Oscar for the best movie\u2019s soundtrack\u2026. Who knows, I am a big dreamer\u2026.:)<\/p>\n
