Following on from their single release of ‘Years In The Making’ last month, Canadian band Arkells have just dropped a wonderful acoustic version of the track.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Available to stream and download here<\/a>, it comes in conjunction with Arkells frontman Max Kerman’s daily Flatten The Curve music classes, which are hosted on the band’s Instagram Live between 6 and 7pm, British Summer Time. Kerman anchors the show\u00a0around 1 song lesson and beams in other band members, fans, viewers and a host of surprise guests on the fly each day. Original sheet music is posted to their social media each morning ahead of the class.<\/p>\n

In addition to fans joining the class\/chat from all over the\u00a0world, past notable guests have included Olympian\u00a0Tessa Virtue, Toronto Maple Leafs\u00a0players\u00a0Mitch Marner, Tyson Barrie & Morgan Reilly, Lights,\u00a0broadcast legend Ron MacLean, Sam Roberts, Joel Plaskett, Shad, Frank Turner, Haviah Mighty,\u00a0The Tragically Hip\u2019s\u00a0Paul Langlois and more.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the acoustic release of ‘Years In The Making’, as well as the music class, Arkells said,<\/p>\n

“We’re physically separated\u00a0right now, but we’re always together in music.<\/p>\n

Right now, we’re trying to be useful in our own small ways and find some comfort in things that make us feel good. Making and sharing music has always provided that comfort.<\/p>\n

We recorded this acoustic version of ‘Years In The Making’ at home in our own little makeshift studios, but the heart and feeling of connection is there more than ever.\u00a0\u00a0And that’s always been the most important part.<\/p>\n
