We love the peace, love, and rock and roll of AV Super Sunshine<\/a>, and have been writing about him for a while now. His unique bled of pop, rock, and EDM have won him fans all over the globe, and in the current pandemic it’s the perfect antidote to any doom and gloom. AV Super Sunshine’s most recent release, ‘Smile’ should bring one to your face, and if it doesn’t, then listen to the song again just to make sure.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Listen to the opening bars of ‘Smile’. The fuzzy synths, and acoustic guitar hark back to a more innocent time, and instantly lift the spirits. Produced by Michael Bradford, who’s previously used his studio wizardry on tracks by Madonna, Anita Baker, Deep Purple, and Eurythmics’ alumnus, Dave Stewart, ‘Smile’ is a summery breeze of a track, brim-full of sunshine, and chilled out melodies.<\/p>\n

The video for ‘Smile’ has been shot in the California desert, northeast of Los Angeles, at the Rest Easy Inn. Originally built for a Dennis Hopper film, it’s the perfect location for the clip. As in all his videos, AV Super Sunshine’s partner and collaborator – not to mention muse – Philomena (who also executively produced this) makes her appearance in the video, sitting in one of the classic cherry-red booths in a diner…joined by a mannequin, which, incidentally, was one used in the film, ‘Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull’.<\/p>\n

The clip is a shoot within a shoot of sorts, with cinematographer Reinhart (Ray) Peschke shown behind the camera as he frames the shots in the diner, and, in slow motion, as he throws the mannequins into the hotel pool.<\/p>\n
