She met a member of Dark Boy Records, and the rest is history, with the 27 year old artist performing at local venues including Reggae Festival, Club Liv, and Club STORY. She’s released an EP, an album, and looks set to also launch a clothing line.

Likewise, Trina has a story to tell about her rise in the male-dominated hip-hop world. She broke through in 1998, hustling 25/8, pushing others aside in order to make room for herself, her business acumen ensuring she rose to the top. The pair are at different levels in their careers, but they’re nonetheless an obvious match because of their determination, and come together in their new single, ‘DWADE’.

The video for ‘DWADE’ sees the girls come in hot, and without apology set out as they mean to go on. The song is a tribute to Miami Heat basketball player Dwyane Wade, aka D Wade, who had a successful 16 year career. The clip is a tribute that lacks nothing in confidence, not to mention high-end brands, exclusiveness, and of course, the endless cash flowing freely.

Dwyane Wade has responded positively to the song, posting a video on his Instagram account of himself jamming to the track.
