Future West returns with new single, ‘Emergency’. The track was produced and recorded by the Dundalk Ireland basd artist (real name Francis Watters) at his home studio, and mixed by Peter McCoy and Pauric McCrum, of Orwells ’84. <\/strong>The track is set for release at 9pm tonight, 19 March, on Bandcamp and SoundCloud.<\/h4>\n

The ambient electronic track takes its inspiration from that feeling of losing a loved one, and the subsequent issues of not being able to cope\u00a0 with the situation, and the self-sabotage that often arises from the situation.<\/p>\n

The vocals are reminiscent of Gary Numan, and fellow Irish electronic artist, Circuit3, with Future West conveying the sense of hopelessness and trying to move on while feeling completely unable to. It’s a poignant piece in these current weird times of not knowing the way forward.<\/p>\n
