While we’re all caught up in self-isolation at the moment, it’s important to think about our friends and family, and maybe celebrate those we love, and drop them a quick “thank you” for being there. Pop singer Sami Thompson knows what it’s like to have that best friend who’s always there for her, and in ‘Lifeline’ she’s dedicated an entire song to that person.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Discovering her love for singing at the tender age of six, while she would jam along with the songs on the radio, Florida native Sami might be a pop star but she still imbues all her music with her own creative twist. She takes her inspiration from past and present musical artists, such as Ariana Grande, Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, and Lizzo, and she has seen some success, with her festive single, ‘Sandy Christmas’, gaining more than 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone, and becoming the number one best selling holiday single on Amazon in the year of its release.<\/p>\n

The video for Sami’s new single, ‘Lifeline’, takes place in a roller skating rink, with Thompson singing to her BFF. The serious nature is a temporary thing, with both girls breaking out into laughter, having a connection that only the pair of them can fathom. They’re dressed in matching outfits, they support each other, and literally give each other a helping hand when they find it a struggle to skate.<\/p>\n

Watching the girls, an employee of the skating rink seems irritated by the pair, but in reality, she doesn’t understand their bond. ‘Lifeline’ is an encouragement to pick up the phone and let those you love most know how grateful you are to them and their support.<\/p>\n
