Multi-platinum selling rock band X Ambassadors have released their new EP, ‘Belong’, today March 6th on KIDinaKORNER\/Interscope Records.\u00a0 The three track EP features the brand-new song \u2018Everything Sounds Like A Love Song\u2019.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201c\u2019Everything Sounds Like A Love Song\u2019 is a song about missing the love of your life,\u201d says X Ambassadors lead singer Sam Nelson Harris. \u201cWhen everything you see, hear, and smell reminds you of them, and how painful it can be witnessing beauty when your heart is broken. Like the universe is just playing tricks on you.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this song, we pay homage to some of our favourite artists – Aretha, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, The Band, The Staples Singers– all of whom inspired the sound \/ direction for \u2018Belong EP\u2019, co-written by the incredible Sam Romans, produced by X Ambassadors and Sean O’Brien, with arrangements by Lemar Guillary and Rosie Danvers.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Opening and title track, ‘Belong’, is essentially a Gospel song, which will take you deep down south and into Church, and find you leaping up onto the stage and joining the choir. ‘Everything Sounds Like A Love Song’ follows on from this, and the EP is brought to a close with ‘Happy Home’, which starts out almost spoken as much as sung, before Sam opens up into full voice, showing off not only his incredible vocal range but also his considerable skills. The song itself is a treatise to keeping a relationship going when it’s showing all signs of failing, with Harris channelling both Maroon 5 and Jamiroquai, as well as clear Motown influences.<\/p>\n

X Ambassadors are currently amid a tour of Europe which has included a run of sold out UK shows including the new London venue, set up by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, Lafayette on February 22nd.<\/p>\n
