Billboard took a dive into the lyrics in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/lyrics\/8550667\/lewis-capaldi-before-you-go-lyrics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this<\/a> piece, remarking that,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The melancholic ballad details the agony-inducing aftermath of a loved one dying by suicide.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clash says,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cit\u2019s a rousing piece of acoustic songwriting with a driving driving vocal \u2013 trademark Capaldi, in other words.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So far, &#8216;Before You Go&#8217; has surpassed 245 million global streams, and is still climbing the charts on US Top 40, and Hot AC radio.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c\u2018Before You Go\u2019 is the both the most honest and personal song I\u2019ve ever written,\u201d says Capaldi. \u201cIt\u2019s about loss, regrets and the fear that we sometimes never understand what someone is going through despite our best want to be everything that person needs. x\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tickets for Capaldi&#8217;s 2020 North American tour go on sale today on his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lewiscapaldi.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">official website<\/a>.
