Three-piece rock band from North Carolina, Ugly Runner, have recently released their unique 6 track EP. ‘Romanticizer’ is now available to stream via all major streaming platforms.<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Comprising Brett J Kent (bass), Stephen Britt (vocals\/guitar), and Russell Walker (drums), Ugly Runner are not your stereotypical rock n roll band. Their sound can be described as the perfect combination of California Punk and British R&B. Debut EP ‘Romanticizer’ expresses this distinctive blend between these genres perfectly – if you’re a fan of\u00a0The Stooges, Ty Segall & The Pixies, then this EP is definitely for you!<\/p>\n

The band worked with engineer Peter Brownlee last May in order to create their anticipated EP. This gave Ugly Runner the rest of the year to perform shows in preparation of release.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the EP, Ugly Runner said,<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Romanticizer\u2019 is an EP we wanted to put out as a rock’n\u2019roll showcase. It\u2019s not a concept album in a lyrical sense, but it is a representation of personal growth, addiction, relationships, and the hope for societal awareness all around us. The concept: let\u2019s put out rock \u2018n\u2019 roll music that flirts with various sub-genres while harnessing a fresh aesthetic, a unique delivery, and striving for distinction between tracks.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
