Cornbury Festival\u00a0begins with a mighty double bill this summer of legendary troubadour\u00a0Van Morrison\u00a0and electropop singer songwriter\u00a0Dido. These big hitting stars will both take to the stage on Friday 10 July, the first day of the three-day festival held at the stunning Great Tew Estate in Oxfordshire.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In a change to the normal routine, Cornbury Music Festival organisers are releasing the names of headline acts performing on the three festival days one\u00a0day at a time.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re very excited to be announcing two huge stars from the\u00a0beginning\u00a0\u2013 Van\u2019s my desert island artist \u2013 and it\u2019s a huge privilege for Cornbury to be one of Dido\u2019s few summer appearances,\u2019\u00a0says promoter Hugh Phillimore<\/strong>. \u2018This year we\u2019re doing things a bit differently keeping a few surprises up our\u00a0sleeve by announcing our other artists one day at a time over the next few\u00a0months”.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Cornbury Music Festival has featured a huge host of big names since its first edition in 2004 –\u00a0Paul Simon, Robert Plant, Amy Winehouse, Bryan Adams, Blondie, The Beach Boys, Bryan Ferry, Jamie Cullum, Olly Murs & Jools Holland<\/em>\u00a0have all graced its stages. With Van Morrison and Dido in the line-up,\u00a0the 17th\u00a0Cornbury Festival\u00a0<\/strong>promises to be another memorable weekend for this much- loved Oxfordshire institution.<\/p>\n

Day tickets for Friday 10 July and Weekend tickets for Friday 10 \u2013 Sunday 12 July are on sale from 9am Wednesday 22 January.<\/strong><\/p>\n
