Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wq8LcjL7q20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RockSound.TV<\/a> about the prospect last year, drummer Taylor Hawkins said that they hoped &#8220;to have a new record by next year&#8221;. Both Hawkins, and guitarist <a href=\"https:\/\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/2019\/03\/foo-fighters-chris-shiflett-announces-new-solo-album-hard-lessons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chris Shiflett<\/a> have been working on solo\/other projects during that time, while Dave Grohl has been lending his services to other bands &#8211; including <a href=\"https:\/\/essentiallypop.com\/epop\/2020\/01\/taylor-hawkins-and-the-coattail-riders-release-video-for-middle-child-and-perform-live-on-jimmy-kimmel-with-dave-grohl-perry-farrell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Taylor Hawkins And The Coattail Riders<\/a>.
