The Vamps have had quite the year. 2019 started off strong for them as they released their new EP ‘Missing You’ in which this was the first time the band had full control over writing and producing the songs themselves. They then set out on their Four Corners tour where they travelled all across the UK, the rest of Europe and Asia performing to their adoring fans.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

They just recently finished the European leg of the tour and returned home to perform one last time of the year and it was all for charity. Centrepoint is the UKs leading homeless charity that focusses on raising money and awareness to help support young homelessness in the UK. With their 400 staff members across the UK, they help support homeless young people get in to work and a stable place to live every day of the year. These youngsters end up homeless for a variety of different reasons, and that’s usually due to them not feeling safe at home or family life has become too difficult for them. The first thing that you noticed when you walked in to the venue was the limited edition t-shirts the band prepared specifically for the gig. The money that was raised from the t-shirts and tickets went straight to Centrepoint – not only was it for a good cause but their fans were sure treated! Friend of the band Josh Collins started the evening off with a DJ set which the crowd loved! This was followed by The Vamps who did a full set of all their well loved songs.<\/p>\n

They sang an array of songs from all their albums including ‘Wildheart’, ‘Middle of the Night’, and ‘Wake Up’. The new songs that they released at the beginning of the year – ‘Missing You’, ‘All the Lies’, and ‘Waves’ – went down extremely well with fans knowing every word of the songs like they were released years ago. A particular highlight was when drummer Tristan Evans wowed the crowd with his incredible drum solo.<\/p>\n

It’s always difficult finding a bad thing to say about the bands performance. The profession and musicianship that shines from all members of the band proves that they should be taken a lot more seriously within the music industry.\u00a0Brad, James, Connor and Tristan are now taking a well deserved break over Christmas with the promise that 2020 is going to be another big year for them!
