From Newark, New Jersey, she&#8217;s signed to Red Bull Records, and her previous releases, the singles &#8216;Pepsi&#8217;, &#8216;Rose Colored&#8217;, and self titled debut album, have helped her to make more than just a big splash.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Almost forced to give up her dreams because of a near-fatal car crash, pineappleCITI nonetheless fought through, and once she recovered, she wrote songs for the likes of Kelly Rowland, and Yo Gotti. She also released her second album, &#8216;neon blue&#8217;. &#8216;Recognize&#8217;, her first single with Red Bull Records, came out in October, with a premiere in Billboard. Clearly nothing is going to stop this force of nature, as she proclaims,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;If you ain&#8217;t heard about me\/You gon&#8217; know tonight&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The accompanying music video brings together the influences of old-skool rappers like Erykah Badu and current mavens such as J. Cole, Wale, Lil Wayne, and Drake. Her rap sound is one that all fans can appreciate. The video for &#8216;Recognize&#8217;, directed by Mills Miller, opens with shots of pineapple having a flashback to her car crash, and then to the present, showing her hard at work writing in the studio.
