Ryan and Alex Phelan, the true identities of the artists, have always had a very strong musical connection, and it’s made very clear on ‘Always With You’. Using dreamy, synth-pop production techniques, A1ASKA is able to put down the perfect underbed for Alex The OKs vocals, which in turn provide a beautifully infectious melody.<\/p>\n
The track is an expression of complications which arise within romantic relationships, and go into detail about “the thought of being in love with someone and them slowly pulling away until they are no longer there.”<\/p>\n
A native of Alaska, Ryan first started in electronic music and production about 10 years ago, and this year, having honed his skills during all that time, he began releasing music, and has so far put out nearly 50 singles.<\/p>\n
A1ASKA doesn’t feel the need to stick to one genre, and credits Kaskade, Marshmello, and Depeche Mode, as among his inspirations.<\/p>\n
