Ida Mae are in the middle of their headline US tour, and have announced they will play at London’s Bush Hall, on 22 April 2020. The show will be their biggest UK headline show to date. Additionally. their debut album ‘Chasing Lights<\/a>‘, out on Thirty Tigers, has been nominated for Americana UK\u2019s \u2018Album Of The Year’, while their upcoming EP, ‘Live In Memphis’, is set for release on January 24.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Chris and Steph, the duo behind Ida Mae, have had a massive 2019, which saw, in addition the release of their debut album they played 80 shows across the US and 35 around the UK and Europe, supporting the likes of Josh Ritter, Greta Van Fleet, Alison Krauss, Nikki Lane, and the incomparable Willie Nelson – just to name a few.\u00a0Their success on the road made it possible to go on a headline tour less than 6 months after the album release, a remarkable feat for a British Band launching in UK and US simultaneously.<\/p>\n

Last week they released their sombre new track, \u2018Baby I Need a Driver\u2019, which is available exclusively on Amazon Music as part of their \u2018Produced By\u2019 series. The stunning track is produced by the legendary T-Bone Burnett.<\/p>\n

Blending elements of vintage Delta blues and gritty rock and roll with boldly modern arrangements and fearless punk swagger, \u2018Chasing Lights\u2019 captures Ida Mae in its purest form. From the pulsating \u2018Higher Than Light\u2019 to the Beat poet-inspired \u2018My Girl Is A Heartbreak\u2019, \u2018Chasing Lights\u2019 is an impressive eclectic debut produced by the legendary Ethan Jones. Singing together, the couple have an unusual \u2018which-is-which\u2019 dynamic.<\/p>\n

As well as their Americana Music UK nod, \u2018Chasing Lights\u2019 reached #1 on the Itunes Singer\/Songwriter Album Charts, and #8 on Billboard\u2019s Americana\/Folk Album sales. With a ton of shows planned for next year and new music in the works, 2020 is set to look even brighter for the pair.<\/p>\n
