The likes of Avril Lavigne, Carly Rae Jepsen, Drake, and Justin Bieber are known to everyone; then there’s Marianas Trench who aren’t so well known yet in the UK and Europe but are legendary in their home country and have been among our favourites for many years now. He played in rock bands during school before moving on to university where he studied composition. Following graduation he went on to spend four years in the jazz world. Now he combines all his experience, as well as inspiration from the likes of fellow Canadians Marianas Trench, and Las Vegas’ Panic! At The Disco, into his pop-oriented sound.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the track, Karkar says the song was “inspired by the feeling of being left behind.” A simple statement, it is actually very conservative in summary of the track, which sees Jonathan weave infectious grooves and melodies into a powerfully emotional vocal performance.<\/p>\n
‘I Forgot About Me’ will be available across all streaming platforms from 25th October 2019.
