1) New York is home to the most influential bands and artists\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Look through the record collection of your coolest friend, and you will no doubt see an eclectic mix of groups and musicians from the Big Apple. Artists such as the Velvet Underground, Blondie, and Lady Gaga all began their journey to superstardom in the venues of the city that never sleeps.
