The Stolen have over the years been recognised by the likes of MTV, Billboard, and Alternative Press, and have shared stages with artists such as Neon Trees, All American Rejects, and Jake Miller, and have also played Vans Warped Tour. The New Jersey band’s single ‘Overboard’, released earlier this year, narrowly missed the top 20 on iTunes’ Alternative Chart, while other recent singles, ‘Change The Record’, ‘Stuck’, and ‘Rooftop’ illustrate where their sound is headed. New single, ‘Millennial’, comes ahead of their first full length, self-titled album, set for release on May 31. They’ll also be touring in support of the album.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The video for ‘Millennial’ sees our hero going through his day, just like a typical Millennial. He’s got his Air Pods on, he’s sucking on an e-Cigarette, and he’s ordering Chinese food from the comfort of his own couch. He’s got everything he wants at his fingertips, but he’s not satisfied. Speaking of the video, the band say,<\/p>\n

\u201cThe video is sort of a mockery on how we (millennials) are. It\u2019s a weird cross between being tired and feeling old with your own generation, but realizing you\u2019re exactly the same and a part of what you are so tired of.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Bored and disenchanted with life and everything, he puts on his virtual reality glasses and he’s in a different world, rocking it out with his band, living his life through a screen rather than experiencing the present around him. It’s a sobering and all too real concept, wrapped up in a rollicking good post-punk song.<\/p>\n
