Telephone Explosions are back<\/a> following their brief hiatus in 2018. The experimental dream-pop duo<\/a> return with a new full length self-titled album, set for release on 23 April. ‘Telephone Explosions’ is available to pre-save here for Spotify<\/a>, with the CD purchased directly from Bandcamp<\/a>. .<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Telephone Explosions finished writing and recording their album after the birth of their second child in 2018. Co-produced with Anthony Gibney at Audioland Studios, and mastered by Hayley Connolly at Masterlabs, the album retains the ambient and experimental sound the duo are known for, while hinting at Irish traditional music, as well as drum machines and synth. Self released, like their previous releases ‘Significant’, and ‘Pocket’ (the latter of which appears on the album), the debut album draws on themes of hidden transmissions, and unsolved mysteries, as well as new life, and waking the dead.<\/div>\n

Speaking of the album, Telephone Explosions, which consists of Dolores Fogarty and Adrian Mee, said,<\/div>\n

Telephone Explosions formed in Maynooth in 2016, and received a warm critical reception for their debut single, ‘Pocket’, the following year. They have played at Body&Soul\u00a0@\u00a0Electric Picnic and Sligo Live as well as occasional intimate gigs in Kildare and Dublin.
