She\u2019s an institution to the pop music world; without her you wonder where pop music would be.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Random Ad stuff --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2076862002005673\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"3107208401\"\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She redefined pop when she first came out with \u2018&#8230;Baby One More Time\u2019 back in 1998 and her career has spanned so much to pop culture &#8211; school girl uniform (&#8230;baby), air hostess (toxic), the 2007 era coined the meme \u201cif Britney can get through 2007, I can get through anything\u201d, the snake, the Madonna kiss, double denim, &#8220;it\u2019s Britney bitch&#8221; is a term that even my mother knows&#8230;a Radio 2 listener. She\u2019s had her ups and downs and the media has always used Britney as a target &#8211; in 2007 she was a laughing stock for her mental health issues; when she started she was accused of sexualisation of music with her image; she\u2019s had lip syncing drama; even when she\u2019s performing an intense choreography, she\u2019s been accused of being trailer trash &amp; not being able to sing. She has recently taken some time out for herself to look after her father, and headlines soared after she chose to check into a mental health clinic, \u201csectioned one more time\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The piece I\u2019m writing is a celebration of some of her more obscure tracks. Sure we all love \u2018Stronger\u2019 and \u2018Born To Make You Happy\u2019 but within Britney\u2019s discography, there are some incredible gems &amp; I\u2019m going to share five with you&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Before The Goodbye&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6bGkEmtZGVE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The rumour is \u2018Before the Goodbye\u2019 was the original first single from Britney\u2019s third album instead of \u2018I\u2019m A Slave 4 U\u2019 &amp; I can\u2019t imagine a world without \u2018Slave\u2019 however \u2018Before the Goodbye\u2019 is an outrageously incredible track&#8230; the track details a lover leaving. On face level, one may think he\u2019s leaving for work however a deeper look into the track suggests an impending split.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;And Then We Kiss&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-3tWy0u6hGA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The track was originally recorded for \u2018In The Zone\u2019 &amp; came from the same session of \u2018Breathe On Me\u2019 and its a refreshing, slightly techno love song. It\u2019s about finding that special someone and enjoying their company in an intimate setting. Junkie XL spruced up the track for her \u2018B In The Mix\u2019 record and it identifies as one of Britney\u2019s strongest album tracks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Heaven On Earth&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RwljyjvohSo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the party tracks on \u2018Blackout\u2019 is the sweet, bouncy \u2018Heaven On Earth\u2019. The track was penned by Cathy Dennis and inspires the image of the perfect lover&#8230;it has this euphoric state of being in a relationship and her vocals heathen over the beat \u201cfell in love with you and everything that you are\u201d. In the original demo the spoken words were at the end of the track and it felt like this perfect love story was dwindling down.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Mannequin&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oaztL7X2eyY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018Circus\u2019 is quite the enigma among Britney\u2019s discography. On paper the album identifies itself to be about the rebirth of Britney the Popstar however hidden among the likes of sneaky \u2018If U Seek Amy\u2019 &amp; playful \u2018Mmh Papi\u2019 comes \u2018Mannequin\u2019. Its one of Britney\u2019s only writing credits on the album &amp; lyrically &amp; sonically its one of Britney\u2019s most bizarre &amp; personal tracks. It details a working hard woman who falls from grace&#8230;there\u2019s this heartbreaking \u201cyou told me you&#8217;re lonely \/ can&#8217;t hear you \/ how dare you \/ and then you were frozen, imposin&#8217; \/ there&#8217;s no way you want me \/ watch me, dress me \/ can&#8217;t impress me \/ I&#8217;m not changing, I&#8217;m just\u201d. This self doubt &amp; internal anxiety is harrowing and the track has this sound of a scream throughout the chorus but a deep &amp; low scream thats much more internal. It\u2019s a really interesting song.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Unusual You&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dhP8Jx4kO5I\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Possibly one of my favourite Britney tracks ever recorded. The track details identifying a vulnerable woman waiting for her lover to break her heart but he\u2019s not &amp; she\u2019s confused. Its heartbreaking, heartwarming &amp; absolutely stunning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Amnesia&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iM0jswbZhIM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A bonus track on \u2018Circus\u2019 is the 80s track \u2018Amnesia\u2019 where Britney details a lazy lover of hers so she jokingly forgets she\u2019s dating him. The track is pure Britney to the core and its a shame it was demoted to bonus track status as it should have been a single really.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;He About To Lose Me&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NtjfRUBKvLc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018Femme Fatale\u2019 was a pure EDM record from beginning to end however there were some slower moments on the record (including single four \u2018Criminal\u2019) and one of them being the bonus track \u2018He About To Lose Me\u2019 was a great vocal moment from Britney. The chorus does feature a higher vocal from a backing singer sadly however the track details a flirty Britney discontent with her relationship &amp; other men are giving her the eye.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Man On The Moon&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BeqjaN4UgUQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018Glory\u2019 was a big comeback for Britney. It\u2019s considered part of her elite records alongside \u2018In The Zone\u2019 &amp; \u2018Blackout\u2019 and is ridden with gems&#8230; one of them being \u2018Man on the Moon\u2019. Her vocals are angelic and the song is just beautiful. Its another love song but I can\u2019t fathom how beautiful she sounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I could be here all day. Other mentions are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Everyday&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;I Run Away&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Breathe On Me&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Trip To Your Heart&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Quicksand&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Why Should I Be Sad&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;All That She Wants&#8217; (cover)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Coupure Electrique&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;I Got That Boom Boom&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Liar&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8216;Soda Pop&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Britney Jean Spears is an icon.
