Collaborating with award winning director Dan Britt, The Cranberries release the video for \u2018All Over Now\u2019, from the band\u2019s final album \u2018In The End\u2019, due for release April 26th<\/sup>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/ins><\/p>\n

The storybook-like visuals were the product of a collaboration with illustrator Tom Clohosy Cole, who created the backgrounds, and partly inspired by Eric Ravilious\u2019 landscapes of the English countryside, which Dan describes as,\u00a0\u201cbeautiful but stark and criss-crossed by barbed wire and the signs of human activity.\u201d\u00a0Rather unique colouring techniques, using paper textures and watercolour brushes run through the flat animation giving the video a hand crafted feel.<\/p>\n

Taking inspiration from \u2018In the end is my beginning\u2019, a TS Elliot poem that resonates with the band, and by the\u00a0song\u2019s tale of an abusive relationship, the video sensitively visualises Dolores O\u2019Riordan\u2019s lyrics.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAfter some initial discussions about the direction I was left alone for the most part,\u201d\u00a0recalls Dan. \u201cThe band\u2019s support\u00a0has led to what I hope is a good match to this lovely song a fitting tribute to Dolores.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2018All Over Now\u2019 blends rock, alternative and catchy almost pop-sounding melodies to deliver a classic Cranberries sound that runs through the new album. \u2018In The End\u2019 is not a valediction, it is a celebration, one that stands as a powerful testimony to the life and creative work of Dolores and her brothers in music Noel, Mike and Fergal.<\/p>\n

The genesis of \u2018In The End\u2019 began in May 2017 while the band were on tour. By winter of 2017 Noel and Dolores had written and demoed the eleven songs which would eventually appear on the album.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cDolores was so energized by the prospect of making this record and to getting back out on the road to play the songs live\u201d\u00a0recalls Noel.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
