Having said that, regardless of the more positive appearance, &#8216;Damn The Consequences&#8217; has an ambiguous message: sure we eat and drink today for tomorrow we may die &#8211; but if we don&#8217;t, we&#8217;re going to have a hell of a hangover. &#8220;Throw caution to the wind but keep wisdom in the back of your mind&#8221; may as well be Sam&#8217;s motto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sam did a solo European tour in 2017, supporting his album, and returned home, wrote more songs, and renovated both his sound and his band, giving it a more electric, high energy, pop rock vibe than before.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The video for &#8216;Damn The Consequences&#8217; sees Densmore serve both as MC and narrator, walking the streets of Portland, guitar case in hand, and earbuds in ears. He&#8217;s in the world but not of it. His friends however are well and truly of this world, and (possibly drunkenly) select his music at the local karaoke bar.
