Led by rising stars\u00a0Sebastian Croft\u00a0(GAME OF THRONES) as Roman teenager Atti and\u00a0Emilia Jones (PATRICK) as his Celtic rival Orla,\u00a0HORRIBLE HISTORIES: THE MOVIE – ROTTEN ROMANS<\/strong>\u00a0features an all-star cast including\u00a0Nick Frost\u00a0(FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY) as Orla\u2019s father Arghus,\u00a0Craig Roberts\u00a0(SUBMARINE) as Emperor Nero, and\u00a0Kim Cattrall\u00a0(SEX AND THE CITY) as Nero\u2019s mother Agrippina.<\/p>\n

Additional cast include BRIT Award-winning artist\u00a0Kate Nash\u00a0(GLOW) as Boudicca,\u00a0Rupert Graves\u00a0(SHERLOCK) as Governor General Paulinus,\u00a0Alex Macqueen\u00a0(THE INBETWEENERS) as Nero’s assistant Sycophantus, and\u00a0Sir Derek Jacobi\u00a0reprises his iconic role as Claudius.<\/p>\n

Atti (Croft) is a Roman teenager with brains but very little brawn.\u00a0 When one of his schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero (Roberts) Atti is forced to join the army and sent to miserable, cold, wet Britain.\u00a0 Things go from bad to worse when Atti is captured by Orla (Jones), a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove herself as a warrior.\u00a0\u00a0Meanwhile a furious Nero is determined to crush the British rebellion, led by Boudicca (Nash).\u00a0 As the Romans prepare for an historic showdown with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street the two new friends find themselves lined up on opposite sides of the battlefield.<\/p>\n

Based on global publisher Scholastic\u2019s beloved best-selling and award-winning children\u2019s historical comedy book series, HORRIBLE HISTORIES, by Terry Deary and illustrated by Martin Brown, the film\u2019s screenplay has been written by the Olivier award-winning playwright\u00a0Jessica Swale\u00a0(NELL GWYNN),\u00a0together with Giles Pilbrow (TRACEY ULLMAN\u2019S SHOW) and Caroline Norris (RAISED BY WOLVES).<\/p>\n
