Sonic Rade are a Swiss Pop trio with three albums under their belt: ‘Let It Out’ (2013); ‘Sideways’ (2016); and their brand new self titled album, ‘Sonic Rade’, released this year. Their music is high energy mixed with shades of melancholy, and their latest single, ‘Let’s Dream Tonight’, comes with a video which sees them head for the heart of New York City – Times Square.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Formed in 2010 on the shores of Geneva’s harbour, Rade, they’re signed to Italian label VDM Records, and they comprise Ricardo Ryan on vocals and guitar, Christian Fonjallz on bass and backing vocals, and Christophe Grand on drums and backing vocals. Their percussion and guitar are always smooth and complimentary, while their lyrics are multi-layerd, focusing on personal dilemmas, relationships, and self-awareness.<\/p>\n

Sonic Rade have seen international radio airplay, and their album ‘Sideways’ was recognised at the Grammy Awards with nominations in the categories of Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, and Producer of the Year (Non-Classical). The’ve also been praised by the likes of Northwest Radio, World Talent Radio, and the Planete Indie Radio Show.<\/p>\n

In the music video for ‘Let’s Dream Tonight’, we see Ryan walking through the city’s hustle and bustle, with no particular place to go. We cut to scenes or Fonjallaz and Grand jamming. All the while, there is constant activity around Ryan, and yet he still walks and rides by himself. The city is a perfect parallel for the theme of ‘Let’s Dream Tonight’. Ryan is singing about someone who has left, or is leaving, in a city which represents escape, freedom, and new opportunities. At the end, the singer is being driven out of Manhattan, and dropped off at an unknown location.<\/p>\n
