Irish singer songwriter and musician, Jamie Harrison, has cracked the 1.3 million mark on Spotify with his most recent single, ‘Spent So Long’. It’s also making waves on the international scene, and has found its way to several key global Spotify playlists, including Soft Vinter, Casa De Casa and Autumn Leaves, and charting in the Top 50 of Italy’s Spotify Charts, as well as picking up major traction in Sweden and the US.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The video for ‘Spent So Long’, shot in the basement room of a 200+ year old Galway manor house, is likewise doing well, with just under half a million plays at present on YouTube and Facebook\u00a0no doubt aided by internet providers<\/a> making streaming so much easier. The video was shot in March last year, in the middle of Storm Emma, bringing with it the worst snow in almost 40 years. They were stranded in the house, which with its single-glazed windows and open fires for its only heating, was clearly very cold, and each would take a turn at going outside to gather branches to keep the fire burning. All this worked together to produce a superbly stripped back clip, focusing only on Jamie – and the one obvious concession to modernity – his electric guitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie played two sold out headline shows last year, in Whelan’s, Dublin, and at Roisin Dubh in his hometown of Galway, and went on to collaborate with UK producer, Ken Nelson (best known for his work with Coldplay, Snow Patrol, and Paolo Nutini), to record several tracks for his upcoming EP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie is an accomplished performer, and has played all over the world, including London, Dublin, Melbourne, Cologne, Glasgow, Wellington, Liverpool and Birmingham. He’s also gained a considerable following on his YouTube channel, which has made it one of the fastest growing guitar channels of the past year, with his videos reaching over 6 million collective views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
