Legend, soundman, DJ and all-round UK pioneer\u00a0Shy FX\u00a0has released the music video for brand new single ‘Rudeboy Lovesong’, ft.\u00a0Sweetie Irie\u00a0and\u00a0Cara Delevingne.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It\u2019s been incredible collaborating with Sweetie and Cara on this record. The goal was to create something unpredictable and non obvious which is a persistent theme on the SoundTape. Doing a video with a dystopian feel also fits that theme and was something I\u2019ve wanted to do for a while. Big up Felix Brady the director who really delivered for us.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Directed by\u00a0Felix Brady\u00a0and shot in London, the accompanying music video for ‘Rudeboy Lovesong’ features\u00a0Ben Cawley and\u00a0Cara\u00a0Delevingne, trapped and disorientated in a dystopian world.<\/p>\n

Debuted on\u00a0Radio 1Xtra\u00a0last night by DJ Target, ‘Rudeboy Lovesong’ is lifted from Shy\u2019s forthcoming long player project, ‘Raggamuffin SoundTape’, due for release on 15th<\/sup>\u00a0March and available to pre-order now. It follows Shy\u2019s ‘Roll The Dice’ featuring\u00a0Stamina MC\u00a0and\u00a0Lily Allen,\u00a0which has been receiving heavy rotation on Radio 1 since its release in November last year.<\/p>\n

Featuring a broad spectrum of both established and upcoming artists, including\u00a0Lily Allen,\u00a0Cara Delevingne, Maverick Sabre, Chronixx, and Kojey Radical\u00a0(to name but a few), ‘Raggamuffin SoundTape’ flawlessly switches through\u00a0Hip Hop,\u00a0R \u2018n\u2019 B, Dancehall, Breakbeat and Jungle to form an eclectic soundscape\u00a0that melds together seamlessly into a satisfying whole. It\u00a0is the the first long player\u00a0Shy FX\u00a0has made that he feels truly represents him as an artist:<\/p>\n

Everything fits together \u2013 its tight, it feels like one piece. The 15-year-old me would be overly gassed by this record – I wouldn\u2019t have been able to imagine making all these genres, all these styles\u2026 And now I\u2019m able to put it under the same name and it makes sense to people.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
