The second track has been released from\u00a0Catfish And The Bottlemen\u2019s\u00a0forthcoming third album, ‘The Balance’. ‘Fluctuate’ was played on air for the very first time by long-time supporter,\u00a0Zane Lowe\u00a0on his\u00a0Beats 1\u00a0show. An established live favourite, despite remaining unreleased until now, ‘Fluctuate’ has been made instantly available to fans via album pre-orders.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\nA further example of what lies ahead for fans awaiting the new album, ‘The Balance’, which is set for release on\u00a0Fri 26 April 2019 via Island Records, ‘Fluctuate’ follows New Year single release, ‘Longshot’, which scored Catfish their\u00a0highest UK singles chart placing to date\u00a0and achieved over\u00a02.3million streams\u00a0in its first week alone.<\/p>\n

Together with a string of sold out arena dates, the wild reception to Catfish\u2019s first new music since 2016\u2019s gold-certified, ‘The Ride’, brings renewed attention to the phenomena of the band\u2019s unassailable ascent in the company of a youthful, ever-growing family of fans.<\/p>\n

First to hear ‘Fluctuate’ was the army of 15,000 fans packed into\u00a0Spillers Wharf, Newcastle\u00a0for Catfish And The Bottlemen\u2019s headline performance in May 2018, with the song reappearing during full-to-capacity, outdoor summer shows at\u00a0Cardiff Castle\u00a0and\u00a0Glasgow\u2019s Bellahouston Park, each time greeted by committed audiences singing every word. Fans able to grab tickets for imminent arena dates can expect to experience more tracks from ‘The Balance’ ahead of its release.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of 2019 Catfish And The Bottlemen also announced their first return to the USA since their nationwide stadium jaunt with Green Day finished in the autumn of 2017, with\u00a0a new, 15-date\u00a0US tour\u00a0opening in\u00a0Indianapolis\u00a0in mid-March.<\/p>\n

In the breaks between their electrifying outdoor and festival shows, McCann (vocals, guitars), Johnny Bond (guitars), Robert \u2018Bob\u2019 Hall (drums)\u00a0and\u00a0Benji Blakeway (bass)\u00a0recorded ‘The Balance’ over a 12-month period in the company of Irish producer,\u00a0Jacknife Lee. It was recorded in two secluded studios: Grouse Lodge, in\u00a0Moate, Republic of Ireland, and\u00a0The Chapel\u00a0in the countryside of\u00a0East Lincolnshire. The album was mixed by\u00a0Craig Silvey.<\/p>\n
