‘Miracle’ is the second album from German pop artist, Stella Scholaja. Set for release on February 14, the 11 track album blends a folky style with pop sensibilities, and Stella’s light, almost ethereal vocals are reminscent of Bj\u00f6rk, and Christine McVie.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

‘Miracle’ was written, composed, and produced by Stella in her own home studio, and she started working on the songs when she was 17, and had most of them completed after her 18th birthday. It was a hard time for the singer; diagnosed during her teens with the fatal neurological disorder, Myopathy, during her teens, she was unable to take up her position in an Ivy League University. During this time she considered various ways of ending her own life, including assisted suicide. Thankfully she didn’t go ahead with this, and while staying in a hospital in Leipzig, where she was receiving stem cell treatment, she came up with the title track, ‘Miracle’, and the first lyric she wrote was, “It’s a miracle that I survived all of this.” Stella has since then worked hard to focus on research towards research towards experimental treatments for incurable diseases.<\/div>\n

Stella is deeply influenced by the music which peppered her chiildhood; classic bands such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Queen, left an indelible mark on her and profoundly affected her songwriting. ‘Miracle’ however could be more closely compared to that of Lennon Stella, and Bj\u00f6rk, being alternative, rather than straight pop.<\/div>\n

Stella has described her writing process as spontaneous and organic, and she writes lyrics down whenever she feels passionate about something. ‘Miracle’ is set for release on 14 February and will be available to stream and download from all major platforms.<\/div>\n
