‘BOOM’ does exactly what it says on the tin – blisteringly hot straight out of the gates it’s a funky rock track – almost disco with a strong bassline that rumbles right through you, and is sure to set the charts ablaze. Released on Friday January 25, it’s out via KIDinaKORNER\/Interscope.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Co-written by X Ambassadors and produced by Ricky Reed (known for his work with Twenty One Pilots, and Leon Bridges), ‘BOOM’ was also selected as the music bed for the NBA primetime games on ABC. ‘BOOM’ will appear on the band’s new album, set for release this year.<\/p>\n

‘BOOM’ is as fast-paced as it is anthemic, the song serving as an antidote to personal demons and toxic relationships. The artwork is written in Braille, and designed in a yellow on black colourway, for maximum vision. For Casey Harris, the band’s keyboardist, who was born blind, and now has 10% of his vision, this the band\u2019s keyboardist, it is the first physical manifestation of his work that he has been able to experience visually.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the song, lead singer Sam Harris said,<\/p>\n

‘BOOM\u2019\u00a0is a song about walking away from any unhealthy relationships in your life, with your head held high. I\u2019ve had to break off a few of them recently myself, and I was writing all these sad songs because of it. I needed to write one to give me confidence again. To turn my pain into my power.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

X Ambassadors’ debut platinum selling album\u00a0VHS<\/u>\u00a0saw the band transition from Ithaca alt-rockers and Brooklyn indie scene outsiders, to Billboard stalwarts. The album was an intimate insight into Sam Harris and his brother Casey Harris\u2019 youth studded with audio snippets from home movies, and early recording sessions and sound checks. With it, came the genre-defining hits ‘Unsteady’, and ‘Renegades’, a three-year global touring odyssey and a string of high-profile festival performances.\u00a0 Harris\u2019 songwriting became increasingly personal resulting in the shattering, shimmering 2018 singles ‘JOYFUL’, and ‘Don\u2019t Stay’ followed by a North American headline tour. Always looking to give back to the community that raised them X Ambassadors returned to Ithaca for the second annual Cayuga Sound Festival this past September creating\u00a0and curating two days of musical performances\u00a0and raising money for local charities.<\/p>\n
