19 year old Canadian artist Michael Bright was deep into hip hop, pop, and R&B by the age of 7. Later on, he schooled himself in the music of the greats of those genres, including Chris Brown, Usher, and Michael Jackson. Now Bright is determined to live up to his name and burn even greater. His single, ‘Heartache’, comes with his first ever music video, which fully captures the pain of a broken heart, together with the slow tempo track.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Michael Bright puts huge amounts of passion into his songs, sharing his true emotions in his deeply personal lyrics. He captivates his audiences, and shows how much his love for music is part of his very being.<\/p>\n

At 18 Michael released some experimental tracks, including, ‘Your Mind’, and ‘Wet’, which featured fellow Torontan, Arhinslim<\/a>. He is a sophomore at Sheridan College, but dedicates his spare time to creating and cultivating music, which he produces in his small studio. The video for new release ‘Heartache’, opens with an all-seeing eye. We turn around to Michael’s viewpoint, we see a city landscape with flashing green and pink light.<\/p>\n

Directed by Motion Beaver, we feel the changing of seasons, characterised by the contrast of the changing background. The video and song work well together, as the feelings alter just like the weather; Michael calls back to a time and place when things weren’t as cold. We see his old flame; he demands answers from her which will regardless not heal the pain he’s feeling. The song illustrates how important closure is to healing a broken heart, and is very effectively demonstrated by Michael Bright, and ‘Heartache’.<\/p>\n
