The album was met with critical acclaim, including from Billboard, which called it &#8220;Cathartic&#8230;life-affirming&#8221;, while Uproxx described it &#8220;as powerful as it is unsettling&#8221;. She joined forces with producer, Christian &#8220;Leggy&#8221; Landon to co-write most of the songs, and enlisted the services of drummer Victor Indrizzo (known for his work with Depeche Mode), as well as The Section Quartet, bringing in live strings.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Random Ad stuff --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2076862002005673\" data-ad-slot=\"3107208401\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8216;Numb&#8217; is the lead single from the album, and takes a haunting look at the pressures of the music business, as well as life in general.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meg explains,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8216;Feeling numb&#8217; relates to the many pressures of life and our reactions to this weight. When this burden becomes too much and we can no longer run&#8230;we essentially numb out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The track is a powerful &#8220;weapon against the modern-day frustrations of inherent in life and music&#8221; (Billboard), and sees Meg pairing with director Clara Aranovich for the video, with the latter bringing a new, deeper meaning to the story.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWhen I first wrote \u2018Numb\u2026it was about my experience with a major record label.
