Confirmed shows are as follows:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">September 5th\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Blues Alley\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Washington, D.C.<br \/>\nSeptember 6-9th \u00a0\u00a0 Jazz Standard\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 New York City<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These dates are Wilson\u2019s first concerts since the recording of \u2018Sit Back, Relax &amp; Unwind\u2019 (J.M.I. Records) an analog recording, released only on vinyl. \u00a0The album was produced by Wilson and\u00a0Steven Mandel, Music Producer for\u00a0The Tonight Show. Rough Trade called the release\u00a0\u201cMr. Wilson\u2019s definitive artistic statement\u2026\u201d\u00a0and DustyGroove described it as\u00a0\u201cone of the most beautiful records we\u2019ve heard from Steve Wilson\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Random Ad stuff --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2076862002005673\" data-ad-slot=\"3107208401\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to the September headlining shows, Wilson will perform with Chick Corea at the Detroit Jazz Festival. Then, in October\/early November, he will tour Europe with Billy Childs. On the Education front, Wilson\u2019s efforts continue to expand: He was recently an Artist in Residence at the Funote Summer Jazz Camp run by faculty members from Shangahi Conservatory. \u00a0He was also Artist in Residence at Michigan State in East Lansing, Michigan, and the visit went so well they asked him back for their Summer Band Festival, which he then attended in June. Wilson continues to serve as the Chair of Jazz Studies at CCNY, and has also just joined the 2019 faculty of Ravinia\u2019s Steans Music Institute in Chicago. He recently recorded an educational video for Open Studio, with release date tba.
