The\u00a0RSPCA\u00a0and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have joined forces to recreate a scene from the\u00a0Wes Anderson\u00a0canine caper ‘Isle Of Dogs’ to mark the film\u2019s release on Blu-ray™ and DVD out 6th<\/sup>\u00a0August. The collaboration is aiming to encourage animal lovers to rehome a dog, where the\u00a0summer months see an average of approximately\u00a074 dogs abandoned every day.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Photographer\u00a0Linda Blacker<\/a>\u00a0herded celebrity dogs\u00a0Marcel le Corgi<\/a>,\u00a0Cockapoo Marley<\/a>,\u00a0Doug the Therapy Pug<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Steven the Frenchy<\/a>\u00a0to support\u00a0Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue dog, Emily, in an ‘Isle Of Dogs’ inspired photoshoot to help raise awareness of the thousands of dogs that are abandoned every year.<\/p>\n

Just like Chief, Duke and Boss in the film, sadly thousands of dogs are left to fend for themselves across England and Wales. The RSPCA received close to 20,000 calls about dogs last year alone. The volume increases over the summer months with an average of approximately 74 dogs abandoned every day throughout July and August.<\/p>\n
