Georgia Fearn is a 17 year old singer songwriter from Carmathen, Wales. Georgia started writing songs when she was just nine years old, and has developed this talent over the past 8 years to create her debut album, ‘Perfect On Paper’, released in March this year.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The first single from the album was ‘L’Amour’, which tells an ill-fated love story, and features what sounds like a piano accordion, as well as synthy elements. It’s upbeat and downright FUN, with an infectious chorus.<\/p>\n

The album has a largely folky style about it, which from time to time diverges into some more rocky tracks, such as ‘Misty Mae’, which nonetheless sitll maintains some of the traditional elements of the other songs. The overall dark lyrical themes remind us of the songs of Anna Rest Easy<\/a>, and Stever<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Georgia describes herself as a book addict, and it’s clear that she takes the inspiration for a lot of her characters from novels she’s read, as well as from films. In fact, ‘Misty Mae’ is named for a character in ‘American Horror Story’, and has been described by Listen With Mongers Blog as a “story telling heart and the kind of energy you might expect to find in a soggy, fogged in country pub on a Friday night with a Ceilidh band playing in the corner”.<\/p>\n
