On the 21st<\/sup> September 2018, 80s icon Tiffany returns with her electrifying new album \u2018Pieces of Me\u2019 out on\u00a0<\/strong>Go On Then Records via Absolute Label Services.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

With a career spanning over 30 years and with a sizable and devoted fan base, Tiffany isn\u2019t afraid to take risks.\u00a0\u2018Pieces of Me\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0is a step away from what her fans might expect, but one that won\u2019t disappoint.\u00a0Fusing elements of rock and pop, the 11-track set shines a spotlight on Tiffany\u2019s vocals, songwriting and producing skills, while still showcasing her trademark tendency for big radio friendly choruses.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not what people will think a Tiffany album should sound like,\u201d\u00a0says Tiffany.\u00a0\u201cFrom the writing process to recording, and producing, and working with amazing musicians that understood my vision – this is the music that\u2019s been in my heart for a very long time. Kicking off with the epic new single, \u2018Worlds Away<\/strong>\u2019 (out 31st<\/sup>\u00a0August) the song sets the tone for the whole album \u2013 big vocals, big drums and big electric guitar riffs showcasing an authority from Tiffany people might not have seen before.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in total control of my music now.\u00a0I was written off as a one hit wonder but I\u2019ve continued to release music, and to grow as an artist, and this album is all about that growth. It\u2019s about change.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The infectiously powerful \u2018Feels Like a Storm\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0is one of the album\u2019s most instant moments, with gritty guitars and a haunting melody working perfectly with Tiffany\u2019s soulful vocal.\u00a0\u00a0Elsewhere there\u2019s the fun rock pop of\u00a0\u2018Beautiful\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0(available now with all album\u00a0pre-orders<\/a>) which brings classic Blondie to mind and the anthemic \u2018Waste of Time.\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0The introspective, confessional lyrics and brooding beats of \u2018Pieces of Me\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0make it a standout, and unsurprising\u00a0that it birthed the title of the album.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s about embracing life, even if you\u2019ve made mistakes, wasted time on relationships or career choices, it\u2019s about taking back control and moving on.\u00a0\u00a0So it made total sense as the album title. Other highlights include the all out rock of\u00a0\u2018King of Lies\u2019,<\/strong>\u00a0the beautiful piano led\u00a0\u2018Hey There\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a classic love song and the album\u2019s only ballad which let\u2019s Tiffany\u2019s voice shine. And don\u2019t miss the 80\u2019s rock of \u2018Starting Over,\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>the perfect blend of pop rock – \u2018Heaven\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0or the excellent closer, \u2018Fall<\/strong>.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Pieces of Me\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0was recorded across numerous locations, including Nashville, LA and London and brought Tiffany together with an array of hugely talented and experienced musicians for what she calls \u201cthe most organic musical experience of her career.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>These included co-producers\u00a0Mark Alberici<\/strong>\u00a0(also lead guitar) and\u00a0Steven Leiweke<\/strong>\u00a0and musicians like\u00a0The Killing Floor, Oliver Alberici (Rhythm Guitar) Cody Waggett (Drums)\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Jake Barr (Bass).<\/strong>\u00a0There were also guest players;\u00a0Mark Brzezicki<\/strong>\u00a0(of Big Country\/The Cult\/Pete Townsend)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Johnny Martin<\/strong>\u00a0(of LA Guns\/The Chelsea Smiles\/Adler).<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very fortunate to have these people on the record,\u201d\u00a0says Tiffany.\u00a0\u201cYou couldn\u2019t get any better than this. They all bring their own talents to the album and the end result is not just a Tiffany record, it was recorded as a band, and it\u2019s a band album.\u00a0\u00a0A lot of them are now with me on the road too, so you\u2019ll hear the record how it was recorded when we play it live.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tiffany has sold over 15 million albums to date<\/strong>. It all started in 1987 when her iconic number one hit single \u2018I Think We\u2019re Alone Now\u2019\u00a0<\/em>captured the heart of a nation and catapulted her to pop super stardom. She earned two US number one hit singles with \u2018I Think We\u2019re Alone Now\u2019\u00a0and \u2018Could\u2019ve Been\u2019\u00a0and set a record as the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with her debut album. After two massively successful albums and world tours, at age 21 her priorities shifted. She gave birth to her son Elijah and wanted to raise him out of the spotlight, but she never stopped writing music.\u00a0\u00a0In 2000\u00a0Billboard Magazine<\/strong>\u00a0described Tiffany\u2019s album \u2018The Color of Silence\u2019\u00a0<\/em>as \u201cthoughtful, intelligent, and full of grace\u201d and ranked it among the \u201cTop Ten Best Albums of the Year\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0In 2011 she released her country-pop LP \u2018Rose Tattoo\u2019, embracing the music she grew up on, and her last album was 2016\u2019s critically acclaimed \u2018A Million Miles\u2019\u00a0<\/em>which marked the first time Tiffany had been a co-producer on her own record.\u00a0\u00a0Fast forward to 2018 and Tiffany is now on the eve of releasing \u2018Pieces of Me\u2019 and with its feet firmly fixed in the rock world, is she worried how her devoted fan base will react?<\/p>\n
